Schiffli fabric, made in Tiruppur
Schiffli fabric is woven fabric decorated with machine embroidery made on a Schiffli machine. Hundreds of needles stitch across the full width at once, giving long, even lengths of detailed embroidery rather than the repeated blocks you get from smaller machines.
We produce it on five Lässer MVD 57 machines from the Swiss Schiffli specialist Lässer. Every design is created by our own team and copyrighted, so your collection is not a copy of something already in the market. Common styles include all-over florals, embroidered borders and eyelet cutwork patterns.

Embroidery, dyeing, finishing and inspection all happen on that one floor, which is what lets a repeat order match the first one metre for metre.
